With the conference adding four West Coast programs, each Big Ten program will play 14 single-game opponents evenly split with seven home games and seven on the road. Each squad will add a set of three home-and-home matchups rounding out the regular season to a 20-game slate.

The Wolverine's home game assignments include Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Northwestern, Oregon, Penn State and Washington. The road schedule includes Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, UCLA, USC and Wisconsin.

U-M will have a home-and-home series with rival Michigan State, Purdue and Rutgers.

In non-conference schedule news, Michigan and Texas Christian (TCU) agreed to a home-and-home series starting in 2024. The first game will be in Ann Arbor on Friday, Nov. 15 at Crisler Center, with a return contest in Fort Worth in 2025.
Dusty May was named the David and Meredith Kaplan Men's Basketball Head Coach on March 24, making him the 18th coach in program history. Prior to coming to Michigan, May spent six seasons as the head coach for Florida Atlantic, where he led the team to the Final Four in 2023.

"The University of Michigan is among the elite institutions in the world and it is both an honor and privilege to be named its head men's basketball coach," said May. "This is a dream come true for me, my wife Anna, and my boys Jack, Charlie and Eli. I want to offer my thanks to President Santa Ono, Athletics Director Warde Manuel and the U-M Board of Regents for this opportunity."
